Nomadland's travel blog entry: "Mui Ne is a small fishing town along the southern coast of Vietnam, 3 hours from HCMC. The bus (conveniently) dropped us off at the guesthouse (Thai Hoa Mui Ne Resort) where we stayed. Its obvious that the places where the bus stops on the tour have something going on with the the bus company (or maybe just the driver), cause you either have to stay there or walk a fair ways to find something else. However, I would recommend Thai Hoa Mui Ne Resort, cause its probably the most adequately kept place in Mui Ne and still cheap, both by Western standards. It had a really nice garden and was right on the beach. The food here was also good. Being we were right on the ocean we were able to partake in some seafood with less worry of how it would affect our stomachs. Being its a small town, there isn't a lot to do here except soak in the sun on the beach (not that I'm complaining) which is what we did for most of the time here. We took a day tour of some canyons, a fishing village, some sand-sledding and caught the sunset at another set of dunes. Mui Ne actually ended up being one of the highlights of Vietnam for me as it is by far the least hectic and most relaxing stop on the whole "bus-tour"."
